it is not recommended to use  (304L & 316L ) at maritime environment.
(304L & 316L ) decrease chance of  sensitization  formation due to low carbon content. (OK)
but at maritime environment there are A very big danger called stress corrosion cracking ( SCC ) occurs at austenitic stainless steel .
it's recommended to use  super duplex alloy such as 2507; which resist ( SCC).
