Dear All,
We have a problem of weld joint leak failure of insulated line on shoe support. So far we recommend installation of pipe clamps to stop leakage. Pipe sizes are 1" and 2" for total 8 locations.
Now my question is:
1) Is it permissible to just grind of the location of leakage on straight pipe and reweld? Because the other solution is to remove effected pipe and add new pipe piece and reweld support.
2) Is it permissible for socket weld joints (elbow or olet) to grind the existing weld and reweld the joint again?
Regards.
