[MW:10734] RE: 10727] welding of super duplex stain less steel and critical pitting temp.

To answer this question you normally need to have additional information
about actual welding parameter such as Heat Imput and Interpass Temperature
as well as details about thickness and number of weld runs in your weld.
In general you have to keep your heat imput below 1.5 kJ/mm and your
interpass temperature below 150°C and in some cases even below 125°C.
Especially this max. 1.5 kJ/mm is difficult for GTAW process.

In our project during procedure qualification for super duplex stain
less steel we are not able to achieve the specified critical pitting
temperature.Welding conditions are

GTAW
ER2594
88%Argon+2%Nitrogen shielding gas
What we have to do to acieve the CPT
