[MW:10682] Use of ERNiCrMo-3 For welding SA312 Tp 316L

Hi All

I have a weld procedure which is to be used for welding SA312 TP 316 material (3-6 mm thickness). The pipe would be carrying gas and operating temperature is -130 to 60 degree C.

The  ferrite determination has not been carried out on the weld as required by the standard. Also usually the consumable used for welding 316L is ER316L (TIG). But the consumable used here is ERNiCrMo-3 (SFA 5.14, usually used for cladding or Alloy 625 and can be used from cryogenic to very high temperature). Would there by any implications of using this electrode in the case discussed?

Your response in this regard would be much appreciated.

Thanks
